I wanted to broach the topic of respect and acceptable behavior.
Is it a good excuse to come to class every day and put down the people around you because you are having struggles with your family, personal troubles etc? I understand when people are upset, things slip out of their mouth that wouldn't usually be said, and all I feel is sympathy. Life is a jungle out there, life has become a vicious, raging struggle that my mother and grandmother never had to go through. Thousands of families are torn apart from divorce, abuse, the kicking out of their children, disowning and more. It is a cruel, nasty world out there and the best we can do is endure and find the better parts of every day.
That is why I'm asking if it's appropriate for people to wake up and immediately start to complain about how their dad wouldn't buy them a car or why they received an F on a test (which they hadn't studied for btw.) and why this, why that? These type of people stand in the middle of the universe whining about all the things they are lacking, every. single. day. Does this sound a little selfish and obnoxious to you? I believe so.
It is an entirely different matter if the whiner complains to himself but it is entirely different if the whiner brings down another or an entire group, with their insensitivity and drama obsession by degrading the people. It is rude, disrespectful and totally unnecessary and I completely object to it. The next time you find yourself complaining about something, think before you speak, is it really such a big issue, or you just making a mountain out of a molehill? Are you hurting those around you? Think about it, you're a huge influence to those around you, never forget.
